Event Details
Located in the gorgeous location of a large private country house in the middle of the Kent countryside, the course is
mainly designed for keen amateurs with DSLR digital cameras or those that have
recently acquired one and want to learn how to use them. There’s some theory but
the emphasis is on practical learning, interaction and asking lots of questions.
The afternoon session includes a model in order to practice aspects of
portraiture.

We'll spend
some time going through the basics of exposure, camera operation and Q&A and
then we'll be joined by a model in the afternoon. We'll be photographing both
inside and outside, and if we have some rain then we will continue to shoot
making use of whatever cover is available! Pack light
- if you have a multi-purpose lens then great. If you have more than one lens
then make sure one of them is suitable for portraits which means a minimum focal
length (the number of the side of the lens or on the box it came in) of 50mm. If
you have a flash gun please bring it and if you haven't got one that's ok
too.
